Before and After - Amber

Hello Gals,

Welcome back to my Before and After series....a new series that I am having so much fun doing :)

Today, I would like you to meet Amber. As you can see in her before picture, she has such great skin which makes doing her makeup a breeze as there is really not much prep work needed.

Last weekend Amber was headed out to a Christmas party and wanted a very soft smokey eye and a bold lip, so here is what I came up with.

What I used:

Holiday Party Makeup Series: Look 2 Cranberry Eyes (VIDEO)

Hiya Gals!

Welcome back to my Holiday Party Makeup Series. We are now on Look 2..."Cranberry Eyes". If you missed my first party look "Smoke and Glitter", be sure to take a peek

Today's party look is all about the deep rich shade of cranberry. I really enjoy sporting this shade during this time of year as it is so festive. So, I have an intense matte cranberry eye going on here and I have paired it with a glittery pink lippie.

On to the look....

How to Winterize Your Nails

Hiya Gals.

Beautifully painted and nourished nails are a winter must for me...especially during this time of year as it is holiday party season.

In addition to our party makeup looking spectacular our nails should also look festive, healthy and pretty....after all they will get noticed between greeting your guests, mingling at an event or raising your glass at midnight for that New Years toast.

FOTD - Pink and Brown

Hiya Gals,

Today's FOTD is a colour combo that I am currently loving and can't quite get enough of...pink and brown. This has been my go to look for the month of November and I think it's probably safe to say that I have been a little obsessed :)

This look features my favourite  Lime Crime Velvetine "Salem", a liquid matte lipstick that stays in place all day,  TINte Shimmering Face Pearls in "Rose Petals" and Maybelline Colour Tattoo Pigment "Improper Copper"

So tell me gals, what has been your go to makeup look this month?

Thanks for reading!

Before and After - Josia

Hiya Gals,

Lately I have received a few request to do posts on before and after makeup looks, and I thought to myself, why didn't I think of this...it is such a fantastic idea! Most times when I'm doing makeup on my clients I get so wrapped up in what I'm doing that I never think about taking pictures.

Ok, so lets meet Josia!

Josia is one of our Chrysalis models, who has been modeling for us for years. She is always willing to let me have my way with her face and is always willing pose for hours in front of my camera.

Last week she was heading out for a night on the town and asked if I could give her a sexy vibrant look. So here is what I came up with:

Before

A little contouring

After

What I used:

Face:
  • As the first step, I applied a Prism Camera Ready face primer to her face, followed by  Milani foundation in "Spice Almond"
  • Next I did a little contouring and highlighting with Milani cream to powder foundations in " Caramel Brown" (contour) and "Sand" (highlight). Over the top of the highlighter, I applied a little Prism Shimmer Lotion.
  • On the cheeks I used Maybelline cream blush in "Plums Up"
Eyes:
Lips:

Thanks for reading gals!
