Hello Gals!

I know that my blog posts have been few and far between recently...so I do apologize. I am not back to my regular blogging schedule as yet due to the high volume of weddings that have come my way this season. I am so not complaining as I LOVE Wedding Season and getting beautiful brides glammed up for their big day is one of my fav tasks as a MUA.

Today I wanted share with you all a few new products that I have recently added to my professional kit...products that I have absolutely enjoying throughout this wedding season.

Before and After Bridal Trial - Zoe

Hiya Gals!

One of my favorite things about being a makeup artist is doing bridal makeup! I love working with brides to create their signature look for their big day.

Meet Zoe! I had the pleasure of meeting this beauty last weekend. Zoe is sweet girl with gorgeous blue eyes. She is getting married next week and booked a trial so that we could try out a few different makeup looks.

Below is one of the looks that we tried out, a glamorous, shimmery look. Although she liked this look she decided to go with the first look that I created, which incorporated softer peaches, beiges and browns for a more  natural look.

I will post those pictures after the wedding, so that I don't reveal her wedding day look before her actual wedding.

Trial Makeup Look 2:

1) Mac Pro Concealer Palette "Light"
2) Maybelline Fit Me "Classic Ivory"
3) Maybelline Fit M Pressed Powder

FOTD - Shimmer Shimmer

Hello Gals!

Today's shimmery FOTD is created using the strobing technique. This trend is right up my alley as I love shimmer and sparkles.

For those of you who are not quite familiar with the strobing trend, it is a  makeup technique that defines and enhances your features by adding light with shimmer powders, liquids or creams...quite the opposite of contouring and far less complicated.  Contouring is all about defining and sculpting your features by using darker powders, bonzers or cream.

On to my look....

My look is all about the shimmer. I may have gone overboard with my highlighter, but what can be expected from a gal who loves sparkles! You don't have to be as heavy handed as I have been, you can  definitely tone it down by using  less highlighter.

So that completes my shimmery FOTD. What do you think of this trend...are you loving it or leaving it?

Mascara Wand 101

Hello Gals,

Today's topic is mascara wands. Have you ever been stumped by which wand is right for you? I know I have. With so many brands of mascara on the beauty market claiming that their formula is better, choosing a mascara can be a little overwhelming.
Over the years, I have learned that it is actually the brush more so than the formula that has the impact on the lashes. It all depends on the effect that you desire. So I will break down the most common brush types and their effects.
