FOTD - Daytime Glam

Hello Gals!

Today's look is all about the glam!

I am a huge fan of glamorous makeup, however,  I normally tend to get ultra glammed up for an evening occasion... usually accompanied by a red lippie. So when I was invited out to lunch on the weekend, I decided to add a little glamour into my day makeup.

This shimmery look can be worn to a wedding, on a lunch date or even to afternoon tea.  Of course, you can definitely tone it down by omitting the curved graphic eyeliner and opting for a soft wing instead.

On to the look....

  • Prism Contour Palette "Light" - Dark shades applied to hollows of cheeks, forehead, either side of the bridge of the nose. Lighter shades used to highlight cheek bones, center of forehead and along the bridge of the nose.

Is Daytime Glam for you or do you prefer to glam up in the evenings?

Before and After Bridal Trial - Zoe

Hiya Gals!

One of my favorite things about being a makeup artist is doing bridal makeup! I love working with brides to create their signature look for their big day.

Meet Zoe! I had the pleasure of meeting this beauty last weekend. Zoe is sweet girl with gorgeous blue eyes. She is getting married next week and booked a trial so that we could try out a few different makeup looks.

Below is one of the looks that we tried out, a glamorous, shimmery look. Although she liked this look she decided to go with the first look that I created, which incorporated softer peaches, beiges and browns for a more  natural look.

I will post those pictures after the wedding, so that I don't reveal her wedding day look before her actual wedding.

FOTD - Shimmer Shimmer

Hello Gals!

Today's shimmery FOTD is created using the strobing technique. This trend is right up my alley as I love shimmer and sparkles.
For those of you who are not quite familiar with the strobing trend, it is a  makeup technique that defines and enhances your features by adding light with shimmer powders, liquids or creams...quite the opposite of contouring and far less complicated.  Contouring is all about defining and sculpting your features by using darker powders, bonzers or cream.

On to my look....

My look is all about the shimmer. I may have gone overboard with my highlighter, but what can be expected from a gal who loves sparkles! You don't have to be as heavy handed as I have been, you can  definitely tone it down by using  less highlighter.
