Professional Kit Additions: Maybelline Master Glaze Blush Sticks

Hello Gals!

Today, I want to introduce you to the newest additions to my professional makeup kit...Maybelline Master Glaze Blush Sticks.

I have been testing these cream blush sticks on both myself and my clients for the last month and have been really impressed with them.

When I first became a makeup artist, I always thought that my kit needed to be filled with high end brands only, however over the years my feelings have changed as I came to the realization that it's the quality of a product that counts...not the price tag. The Master Glaze blushes are of great quality for a reasonable price.

Fall Inspired Makeup - Sooty Brown Eyes and Orange Lips

Hi Gals,

With trends transitioning from summer to fall, I wanted to do a fall inspired makeup look for you today...a look that is a little outside the box for me.

I very rarely wear orange on my  lips, however I wanted to use a shade that complimented the rich chocolatey brown shades on my lids, and that had an autumnal feel.

This look features our Prism eyeshadow palette “Espresso Yourself”, Prism Lipstick in "Chezza", which in my opinion screams fall with its beautiful burnt orange hue.

DIY Eyeshadow Primer

Hiya Gals!

DIY is back! My DIY beauty posts have been a lil MIA lately but nevertheless I have a super easy eyeshadow primer recipe for you.

To me, eyeshadow primer is one of the most magical makeup accessory that a gal can own. It instantly adds depth and vibrancy to any eyeshadow and prolongs wear time all while keeping oily lids in check.

Lets get started!

Writing Process Tour

Hello Gals

Today I have a different sort of post for you!

I have been nominated by Aaliyah over at Shadow Liner Girl and Priyanka over at NaturalBelleFemme to participate in this tour. Aaliyah has a passion for makeup and no self control when it comes to purple lipstick, and Priyanka has a passion for art, makeup and skin care...her nail art is amazing. Be sure to take a peek at their lovely blogs.

On to the questions:

Please Note: This image was taken from the internet.

What am I working on? Currently I'm working on a winged eyeliner tutorial as well as testing out a few blushes for an up and coming post. I've been testing these blushes since the beginning of August. When I am preparing a review I like to have at least 3 weeks for testing and If the product is not working for me then I try to find different ways to see how I can make it work and if it is still a total fail, when I post my review I try to find at least one positive point to include.

How does your work differ from others in this genre? With so many talented beauty bloggers out there it is a bit more challenging to stand out. In my blog I incorporate a few DIY makeup and beauty projects, although I have been slacking on that aspect lately...not to worry they will be back :) I thoroughly enjoy making my own beauty concoctions...body scrubs being my absolute fav.

Why do I write what I do? I have been in the beauty industry for many years, first as a hairstylist and over the last few years I have turned my  main focus to just makeup, makeup artistry and skincare. I enjoy being a part of the beauty industry and love both sharing and receiving beauty/makeup advice with the amazing gals that follow my blog.

How does your writing process work? Oh gosh...its a little here there and everywhere lol. To be honest, I have gotten a lot better at organizing myself and my blog content through reading how my fellow beauty bloggers organize themselves and their posts. I now have a blogging note book where I write down my post ideas for the month and if an idea suddenly comes to me while I'm out and about or at work, I simply record a quick voice note with my Blackberry.

For photos, I normally set aside Sundays to take my product images  and makeup photos. Some Sundays, I have quite a few makeup looks going on....Sean never knows who he will be waking up to :) I feel the need these days to take my organization to the next level and become super organized as I now have a youtube channel and my goal is to post tutorials on a regular basis.

That completes my writing process. The lovely bloggers that I am nominating to continue this tour on September 7, 2014 are:

Andrea from Naturalle Drea: Andrea loves everything that is pink, girly, sparkly, glittery. Her blog is about make-up,  beauty and hair product reviews and one or two DIY beauty products.

Shipra from Million Dollar Looks: Shipra's blog is a place where you can find beauty/makeup product reviews, trending and celebrity inspired makeup tutorials both video and pictorial.

Thanks again ladies for including me.

Have a fab day Gals.
